The Garrett PowerMax Turbocharger Upgrade Kit (898199-5001W) is a Stage 1 performance turbocharger designed for 2014–2018 Volkswagen and Audi vehicles with 1.8L or 2.0L TSI MQB GEN3 EA888 engines, including models like the Golf 7 R, GTI, Audi TT, Polo GTI 6C, Skoda Octavia RS, and Seat Leon FR. It’s a direct-fit upgrade that boosts engine performance up to 485 horsepower with proper tuning and calibration, offering a 17% increased airflow compared to the stock IS38 turbocharger. Key features include:

• High-Quality Components: Features a Mar-M alloy turbine wheel and twin-scroll stainless steel turbine housing rated for up to 1050°C, ensuring durability under extreme conditions.
• OEM Fitment: Designed for seamless integration with OEM specifications, including compatibility with existing downpipes and accessory intake systems like Turbosmart blow-off valves.
• Enhanced Design: Includes a custom compressor housing and a flow-optimized exhaust housing for improved performance. The compressor housing has a machined port for optional speed sensors (sold separately, part numbers 781328-0003 or 781328-0004) to monitor turbo speed, with a maximum allowable speed of 185,000 RPM.
• Flexibility: Allows retention of the original turbocharger, enabling reversion to stock condition if needed, saving time and cost.
