These sensors are fitted to detect the degree of crank rotation, so the engine can inject fuel and spark the coils at just the right time. Holley sensors are designed to trigger from a ferrous metal (magnetic steel) target, such as their own 60-2 crank wheels, and they can also be used as cam sensor triggers or for other applications.
