The Stage 2 Boost Cooler progressively injects more or less water or water/alcohol, according to manifold boost pressure (MAP sensor included). The system can be set in seconds using the LCD programming unit supplied.

SNOW PERFORMANCE BOOST COOLER SYSTEMS

Maximum power and reduced emissions for your turbo engine
The Boost Cooler Stage 2 water injection from SNOW Performance enables a performance increase of up to 10–20% in turbocharged and supercharged engines, without causing thermal overload. By cooling the charge air by up to 60°C and effectively lowering the combustion temperature, thermal stress is reduced and performance enhanced – ideal even for already tuned engines.

The new Boost Cooler Stage 2 system is designed for all turbo and centrifugal supercharger engines up to 2.1 bar boost pressure and offers excellent value for money. Like the Stage 2.5 and Stage 3 systems, the injection rate is electronically regulated via boost pressure and offers optimised, variable injection control compared to the Stage 1 system.

As soon as the previously set boost pressure is reached (via LCD screen), the patented high-pressure pump injects finely atomised water or a water/alcohol mixture (methanol or ethanol) into the hot intake air. This evaporative cooling and the vaporisation process within the engine lead to improved combustion efficiency, preventing uncontrolled combustion ("knocking"). The effect is proven to be comparable to 116-octane racing fuel.

Another benefit is the steam expansion effect: The evaporating water in the combustion chamber generates additional pressure on the piston, increasing torque and optimising power output. This technology has already been successfully used in aviation to improve engine efficiency.

VC-30 controller – precise boost-based injection control
More power, less hassle: The VC-30 control unit with external MAP sensor controls water-methanol injection precisely via boost pressure – ultra-fast and fully automatic. Setup is simple: enter boost pressure, done. The separate smart LCD screen constantly displays system status, boost pressure, and pump output.

The LCD display can be installed in the driver's line of sight if desired. The control unit is splash-proof and can be flexibly mounted in the engine bay or vehicle interior.

Recommended for all turbo/supercharged engines up to 2.1 bar boost pressure.
